Frequently Asked Questions
Spray Tans
-
With proper aftercare, a Bronzed Beauty tan can keep its glow for 7–10 days. Keep in mind that the products you use make all the difference in how your tan will last. Most drugstore products are loaded with alcohols, fragrances, sulfates, and parabens—ingredients that break down your tan fast.
Switch to our Bronzed Beauty product line, created specifically for spray tans to nourish your skin and help your tan stay rich, even, and long lasting.
-
If you’re booking for an event or a wedding we recommend two days before. If you’re booking for a vacation tan then one day before. ALL beauty services must be done 1-2 days before your spray tan appointment.
-
We’re so glad you’re here! After scheduling your appointment, you’ll receive reminders with a link outlining how to prep for your tan. Follow the prep steps and arrive on time in dark, loose clothing - you’ll be all set.
Each spray tan is completely customized. During your consultation, we’ll go over your tanning goals, any skin conditions or allergies, and choose the solution that best fits your lifestyle and the occasion you’re tanning for.
-
Not here! We use a high end solution line to create a spray tan that is customized to compliment our clients skin tone, and preferred shade of color.
-
When you book the bundle of your choice that will cover your first appointment. You can schedule your following appointments by selecting “The Bronzed VIP”. We can always prebook during your appointments too!
-
Exfoliate 24–48 hours before your spray tan - no exceptions. Use a true exfoliating mitt in a warm or hot shower and remove all dead skin cells. A slight redness means you’re doing it correctly. A loofah, washcloth, body scrub, or Tree Hut scrub will NOT exfoliate your skin properly.
Tip: If your spray tan is fading, use an exfoliating mitt to help remove it!
-
Many of our clients get sprayed biweekly. A tan typically lasts 7–10 days, depending on how well you care for it. Just remember—you must always remove your old tan before getting a new one.
-
Yes - During ovulation, menstruation, menopause and pregnancy. The tan can appear lighter.
-
Absolutely! We always recommend consulting with your doctor first especially if it is before your first trimester.
-
We highly advise not spray tanning over sunburns—even if they aren’t peeling. Sunburned skin (within the last 4 weeks) can cause your tan to appear patchy, uneven, or blotchy. Protect your skin and wear sunscreen in the weeks leading up to your appointment!
-
Yes! Anti-aging and exfoliating products will fade your tan. AHAs, Retin-A, Tretinoin, toners, salicylic acid, glycolic acid, lactic acid, Accutane, and similar products can break down your tan quickly. Many clients use our Face Tanning Water to help maintain their glow. Apply it before bed after completing your skincare routine.
-
We offer spray tan safe products available for purchase during your appointment. Our line includes body wash, moisturizer, dry body oil, face tanning water, bronzing mousse with brush, and an exfoliating mitt. You can also shop our full selection online.
If you’re investing in a high-quality spray tan, we always recommend using the right products to help maintain it.
-
Dove is a spray tan’s worst enemy. It creates a barrier on the skin, preventing your tan from developing properly. Using it after your tan has developed will cause it to fade faster and may alter its color.
-
Cash is preferred! We do accept debit, credit, Venmo and apple pay. We do not accept checks.
Eyelash Extensions
-
Eyelash extensions are synthetic or natural fibers that are attached to your natural eyelashes one by one with a medical-grade adhesive to give the appearance of longer, fuller and thicker eyelashes. The extensions come in different lengths, thicknesses, and curls, which can be customized to create a variety of looks.
-
Isolate one natural eyelash at a time: The technician will use tweezers to separate the individual eyelashes, in order to ensure that each extension is applied to a single natural lash.
Pick one extension from the lash tray: The technician will then pick one extension from the tray and dip it into the adhesive.
Attach the extension: Using tweezers, the technician will attach the extension to the natural lash. It’s important to note that the extension never touches the skin.
Repeat the process: The technician will repeat this process until they have applied every single extension to each natural lash.
-
At your lash appointment, we’ll discuss your lash goals, preferred styles, and what will work best for the health of your natural lashes. Eyelash extensions should feel completely natural, just like your own lashes.
-
We care about your natural lashes, so we do take our time isolating each lash. You can expect your first appointment to take around 90-120 minutes if you’re getting a fresh set of lashes. An eyelash extension fill will take 60-90 minutes.
-
During a lash fill, we will apply eyelash extensions to give your lash line a full and refreshed look. We will replace any long or overgrown eyelash extensions with new extensions along with applying extensions to new lashes and natural lashes that have lost their extension. An eyelash extension fill will take 60-90 minutes.
-
That depends, find out why below!
Yes, your natural lashes can be damaged if you go to someone who was not properly trained and who uses low quality products.
No, extensions properly applied by a certified, trained technician who uses quality products should not.
Here at Bronzed Beauty, we use high-quality products, and ensure that our clients know the correct after care instructions to care for their lashes.
-
If an allergic reaction was to occur it would be in the first 24-48 hours, but this is very rare.
-
Be gentle: Avoid pulling or rubbing your eyes.
Use the right products: Only use oil-free makeup remover. Do not use mascara or eyelash curlers. Be careful when applying makeup or skincare around the lash line—product buildup can weaken the adhesive.
Maintain lashes: If lashes become tangled or cross over, use the lash spoolie provided to gently brush them straight. This can occur when you have an outgrown lash.
Keep lashes clean: Regular washing is essential for lash hygiene. A lash cleanser can be purchased during your appointment.
Drying: After showering, avoid rubbing your lashes. Instead, blot gently with a towel and let them air dry.
Touch-ups: Schedule fill appointments every 2–3 weeks to maintain your lashes.
